All-grain Illustrated

A lot of times I need to draw something about before I really get it.  Writing things down is supposed to help you remember things at least three times as much.  Spending the time to draw out all-grain brewing has helped solidify my understanding of the process.  There might be some mistakes, but this process has worked for me.  I’ll probably adjust these steps over time.. or turn it into a template for a recipe worksheet.  Oh yeah… liquids that are gray are the cool wort, susceptible to contamination.

    Nice. I like the look-and-feel. Kinda like those potty-people.

    The only comment I’d make is somehow note the order of the images. It’s easy to get if you understand the process, if you don’t it could be confusing.

    Along those lines…. I’d switch up pitching and aerating. Meaning, what I do is:
    chill -> pitch -> aerate -> seal/ferment

    Doing so makes sure all the yeasties are well mixed. Does it make a difference. Prob not.

    Finally – at what point do you open a beer? How often do you repeat the beer opening/consuming step? I could use some pointers there myself.
